Stay Alert: Protect Yourself from Scams
Last Updated: 15th February 2025
At Dighi Port Industrial Area (DPIA), your safety and trust are our top priorities. Unfortunately, fraudulent actors sometimes misuse our organization’s name to send misleading emails, text messages, and social media communications falsely claiming to represent us.
To help you identify and avoid scams, please note the following:
Authentic emails from DPIA will always use the domain @dighiportindustrialarea.com
Be wary of messages from generic email domains like Yahoo, Gmail, or Hotmail, or suspicious addresses such as @dighiportindustrialarea-jobs.in
If you receive any doubtful communication, please contact us directly to verify its legitimacy. Stay vigilant and safeguard your personal information.
Common Fraudulent Tactics to Watch For
Fraudulent actors often create fake social media profiles, including on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter, impersonating our Founder, Leadership Team, or key DPIA representatives. These imposters may send deceptive messages claiming affiliation with DPIA to solicit payments or personal information.
Beware of These Common Scams:
False Offers: Messages promoting:
✔ Memberships in non-existent DPIA programs
✔ Invitations to fake events like the “Exclusive Dighi Summit”
✔ Employment opportunities that require upfront payments
✔ Awards, grants, or financial incentives
Requests for Personal Details: Fraudsters may ask for:
✔ Passport details
✔ Bank account information
✔ Credit card or payment credentials
Payment Demands: Scammers may request:
✔ Payments via Western Union, MoneyGram, UPI, GPay, or other digital wallets
✔ Deposits for job offers, event participation, or business licenses
🚫 DPIA will NEVER ask for personal or financial information via email, text, or social media. If you receive such messages, they are fraudulent.
How to Identify Authentic Communications from DPIA

Employment Offers:
✔ DPIA does not send job offers through unsolicited emails, LinkedIn messages, or social media posts

✔ We never request payments for recruitment or visa processing
No Awards or Grants via Messages:
✔ DPIA does not distribute awards, grants, or financial incentives via email, text messages, or social media. Any such claim is false and should be ignored.
